NewsKarnataka-SulliaSullia:A 70 year old man who stayed all alone in his house at an isolated place at Uppukala , Balugodu has been found murdered on September 17, Tuesday morning.
The deceased is Parameshwar Gowda. His body was found tied down and his mouth gagged. Police suspect that he was strangulated to death by the killers. The murder came to light when Ganapayya who used to work in Gowda’s plantation arrived for work on Tuesday after a two day leave. Injury marks were also found on Gowda’s body. A drawer in a nearby table was found open with all its contents strewn around. Police suspect the assailants searched for cash and valuables. Watch and mobile phone were however found thrown around.
A dog squad and finger print experts were pressed into service. Gowda was living alone in the house after his wife passed away 14 years ago. A sickle though was found in the farm, Ganapayya said it did not belong to the deceased.
Senior police officials visited the spot. Investigations are in progress.
