Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a 18-year-old boy committed suicide at his residence in B R Layout in Attavara here on September 11.

The deceased is identified as Abhishek, a student of 4th semester BBA in SDM College in the city.

Reportedly, Abhishek had quarrelled with his mother demanding money but she refused to give, which prompted him to take the extreme step.

His father is working abroad. Abhishek is survived by his brother and parents.

Pandeshwar police have registered the case.
