14 candidates to contest DK Lok Sabha election

Mangalore: Out of 17 nomination papers 14 have been accepted to contest in the coming Lok Sabha election announced the Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim who is also the Returning Election officer on Saturday March 29.

Speaking to the Lok Sabha contestants here at DC office, A B Ibrahim said that all the contestants must have given their details and information regarding the expenditure to the election commission segregating it with a separate bank account.

Election commission will check the expenses of party as well as by the candidate separately, he added.

The Party logo for various national parties and independent candidates were also decided in the meeting.

During election each taluk will have vehicle facility. Candidates must not create problems for the public while doing road shows. And they must also give proper information to the police regarding their road shows, explained the DC.

Election observer Bhaskar A S Sawanth was also present during the discussion.
