Kasargod : Excise squad officials  have  arrested one person and have seized  as many as 1152 bottles of foreign brand liquor from him in the town.

The arrested man is M Narayanan Nair (54) from Chattanchal Mahalakshmipuram. The liquor was concealed in 24 cartons in the cattle shed of his house. Each bottle had 180 ml of liquor. The raid followed a tip off.

Interrogations of the accused revealed that he used to supply the liquor to several parts of the district and had evaded arrests during several earlier raids.

Both Nair and his wife have  been booked in a similar case earlier.
