Bantwal: In a shocking incident, an 11-year-old primary school girl committed suicide by hanging herself here on Monday, July 11 near Kadagoli in Pudu village in Bantwal.

Poojashree, daughter of Prasad and Mamatha is the deceased.

The girl student of Thumbay B A School had returned home after appearing for an exam on Monday afternoon. Her parents, who did not notice her coming out of her room till evening, checked and found her hanging.

Bantwal rural police visited the spot and are investigating the case. The exact reason behind her extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
