Bengaluru: The opposition leaders during the Assembly session lost cool and indulged in to personal attacks when discussion was on over DySP M K Ganapathi’s suicide case here on Monday, July 12.
BJP MLA Appacchu Ranjan during the discussion alleged that by now minister K J George should have been in jail emphasizing the importance of Ganapathi’s declaration on media. When George challenged Appacchu and asked as to what evidence he had to prove the allegation, Appacchu then urged that the CD of Ganapathi’s last interview with a news channel be telecast in the Assembly.

George retorted and said that Appacchu should have given notice to the House before leveling allegations against him in the Assembly.

Forest minister B Ramanath Rai intervened and said that BJP leader Appacchu too had a criminal case against him. Enraged with Rai’s comment, Appacchu resorted to personal attack addressing Rai in singular terms. Finally it was Speaker  K B Koliwad who had to intervene to bring discussion back on track.
