Mangalore: Yet another case of smuggling gold has come to light wherein the officers of the Customs at Mangalore International airport seized 107 foil strips of gold from a passenger on February 3.


The gold weighed at 464.750 gram and is valued at Rs 1398602.Tt was concealed in a ladies stocking retail pack inside a suitcase.
The passenger has been identified as Abdulla Haris Mukkunnoth Pallikunhi a resident of Naseema Manzil at Kasargod in Kerala, who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on February 3 at about 5.15 pm by Air India Express flight IX 384 from Dubai.
Further investigations are under progress.
