Belthangady:  As many as ten persons sustained injuries when a private mini bus carrying a marriage party, rolled into a roadside field at Boodujalu in Nidle on November 13, Wednesday night.

The bus was on way to Dharmasthala from Vijayanagara in Bangalore. The mishap is learnt to have occurred when the driver tried to prevent  the bus tyres from landing on a pothole. The bus eventually rolled into a field which was 25 feet below.

The injured namely  Anganayya (45), Jayanth (15), Kumar, Bhoomesh, Kamalamma, Gowramma, Shilinga, Gowramma and Vijaya have been admitted to hospitals in Ujire and Mangalore.

The bride and 22 others were travelling in the ill-fated bus. A case has been registered in Uppinangady police station.
