Kundapur: According to the KSNDMC Director G S Srinavasa Reddy, Alur in Kundapur taluk of Udupi district has recorded maximum rainfall of 456.5 mm in the last 24 hours up to 8.30 am on July 10.
While Rupanagudi hobli in Ballari taluk recorded maximum temperature of 39°C on July 9, Arehalli hobli taluk of Hassan district recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19.1°C at 5.30 am on July 10.
Karnataka is said to have recorded 61% deficit rainfall between July 4 and July 10. For a 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am on July 10, four geographical regions received 11 mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 8mm. This is said to be a 38% surplus departure from weighted-average normal.
Against normal weighted average rainfall of 62.4mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, the state recorded rainfall of 24.6mm.
