Kundapur : Geetha Shivarajkumar, the JD(S) candidate from Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency has claimed that there was a favourable atmosphere  for the  JD(S).

Speaking to media men at Guddammady  near Kundapur on March 27, Thursday, she  assured to work for the overall development of Shimoga constituency, while giving special emphasis to Byndoor  if she was elected.

She also said that she enjoyed the full support of her husband and sandalwood star Shivarajkumar in her  decision to contest the elections.

Madhu Bangarappa, MLA and President of the Shimoga district unit of JD(S) also exuded confidence that the voters would  elect Geetha, is the daughter of  the late chief minister Bangarappa who has contributed a great deal to the region.

Later, Geetha spoke at a public meeting near the Subrahmanya Swami Temple at Guddammady. Several JD(S) leaders including Mansur Ibrahim Maravanthe, Shalini Shetty Kenchanur, Ranjith Kumar Shetty were present.
