Karwar: A humpback dolphin measuring 2.5 metres was found dead at Rabindranath Tagore beach in Karwar on March 24.

The dolphin belonging to Indo-Pacific humpback family is suspected to have died, a day ago.

The exact cause of its death in not known, said Dr. Shivakumar Baragi, Professor of Marine Life science after visiting the spot.

The 15-year-old dolphin’s body was buried on the beach.
