Karwar: 9 people form the district with travel history to Maharastra and Tamil Nadu have tested positive for Coronavirus on June 13.

Out of the 9 people, 5 are men and 4 are women patients. Karwar, Kumta, Haliyal, and Joida are the taluks that have reported these new cases today.

All these people had returned from these two neighboring states and were quarantined at the nearest taluk centers as per sop. Their throat swabs were sent for tests and the reports were received today which confirmed that they are positive for the disease.

The district to date has reported a total of 108 cases and 84 people have recovered and returned home. There are 24 active cases under treatment.
