Chikkaballapur: The horrific road accident on National Highway 44 in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur has resulted in the tragic loss of 13 lives. The incident occurred when a car and an SUV collided with a stationary truck on the Bangalore-Hyderabad NH44. The victims, including four women, were traveling from Bagepalli to Chikkaballapur at the time of the accident. According to sources, all the 13 victims died. Twelve of them died on the spot, and one person while undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital.

Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police, DL Nagesh, stated that the exact cause of the accident is under investigation, but initial probes suggest that low visibility due to fog might have played a role.
In another heart-wrenching incident in Karnataka, three differently-abled children, including two brothers, were tragically run over by a suburban train near Urapakkam on the city’s outskirts on Tuesday, October 24. The victims, aged between 11 and 15, were from Karnataka and met with this unfortunate accident while crossing the railway track. The two brothers were deaf and dumb, while the third child could not speak. Their parents, daily wage earners in Chennai, are left devastated by the loss.
The railway police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
