Bangalore: Youth Congress workers staged a protest, against the central government here on Saturday October 26th for failing to bring black money back into the country, as promised during the Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing the protest, Congress leader Manish Tewari asked why the BJP government was hesitating to disclose names of those who have black money stashed in safe havens abroad.
“BJP had made a commitment to disclose all names as soon as they have it, why are they hesitating to do so now,” asked Tewari.
The protesters, said “before the elections, they had promised that they would bring back the black money within 100 days, however now it has been 150 days, where is the money? they questioned.
They further alleged that the BJP along with Modi have fooled the people before elections and that, they won’t be able to bring back the black money.
The protesters also raised slogans, ‘Why these double standards? Why make false promises?’
The youth congress protested after the Centre last week told the Supreme Court that it cannot disclose the names of all those having black money stashed abroad as it violated the double taxation avoidance agreement.
