Bengaluru: The Cubbon Park police have arrested a youth from Belagavi for submitting a fake recommendation letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to get a typist job at the state High Court.

According to the police, the arrested is identified as Sanjay Kumar, a resident of Khanapur.

As per the police, in March 2017, the High Court recruitment committee had invited applications to fill the typist posts. Sanjay Kumar had applied, but his application was rejected as he did not meet the eligibility criteria. Later, he tried to get a job by furnishing a false recommendation letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The High Court authorities then filed a complaint with the Cubbon Park police, who arrested Kumar.
