Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav appears to have had a ‘rejuvinated avatar’ after his pilgrimage to some of the religious centres in north India. Now it appears that he will not leave his political dynasty to his brother any day soon. The video he uploaded on twitter clearly shows the change.
Tej Pratap Yadav, eldest son of Lalu Prasad Yadav has been in limelight for his fancy dressing style-very often as a Hindu deity. He has launched a trailer video of his Dharm Nirpeksha Sevak Sangh (DSS), a youth organisation formed last year reportedly to counter the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the ideological parent of the BJP. The video shows him standing on a chariot as Arjuna with Lord Krishna holding the reins of the vehicle during the battle of Kurukshetra as depicted in Mahabharata.
The video has raised a few eyebrows as his recent declaration on Twitter that he was ready to hand over the reins of ‘Hastinapur’ to ‘Arjun’ (read Tejashwi) and move to ‘Dwarka’. “Mera sochna hai ki main Arjun ko Hastinapur ki gaddi par baithaoon aur khud Dwarka chala jaoon,” the tweet read.
The DSS leader was unhappy recently as he was sidelined and overshadowed by brother Tejaswi Yadav in the internal party affairs. Hence, it is said that he has dropped the hint of moving away to ‘Dwaraka’ for peace. Tejaswi is politically sharp and has emerged as the de facto leader of RJD after their father Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is serving fodder scam case sentences.
Tej Pratap had applied for divorce after six months of marriage which became a talk of the town. He was reported missing soon after this incident and was later found to be roaming in towns like Vindhyachal, Varanasi, Vrindavan and Haridwar.
“I have returned to Bihar after receiving the blessings of Lord Krishna during my pilgrimage. The state will emerge as Kurukshetra in the Lok Sabha polls and our detractors will be slain with the Sudarshan Chakra of the popular vote,” he announced weeks ago when he appeared with his trademark ‘bhasma tilak.’
The video, thus, is being seen as a trailer to his declaration and an assertion of his position in the party and state politics through DSS.
The leader is also set to hold janta durbar at RJD office on Monday between 10 am and 2 pm.
