Bengaluru: The Yelahanka police have taken adequate precautions to ensure that normal life is not disrupted in their jurisdiction in view of the bandh announced by as a few pro-Kannada organisations.
On Thursday June 25, Police said that the organisations have stated the non-completion of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike works in the area as the reason behind the bandh.
As a result of the bandh, several schools in Yelahanka area, such as, Royal Concorde School, Mallya Aditi International School, Vidya Shilp Academy and others have decided to declare a holiday for their students .
However, when contacted, the Block Education Officer (BEO) said that they have not issued a direction in this regard.
