Bangalore : KJP State President and former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa would be contesting from his home constituency Shikaripura even this assembly election. Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa confidante Shobha Karandlaje would be fielded from Rajajinagar in Bangalore.
Yeddyurappa who released the KJP list of candidates at a press meet here on March 21, Thursday, said the party has tried to give representation to all castes and communities. He said in the first phase, a list of 69 candidates have been released, while candidates will be announced for all 224 constituencies in a phased manner.
The KJP leader said an election manifesto committee has been formed under the presidentship of senior leader KH Srinivas to prepare a manifesto intended at overall development of the state.
