Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Tuesday that he would again recommend the name of Justice S R Nayak for the post of Lokayukta to Governor Vajubai Vala.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said that he would send not only the file of Justice Nayak’s appointment which the Governor returned, but also other files which he returned. He also stated that the State government would answer all questions from the Governor and send him all the files.

The Governor had snubbed an ordinance bill on the setting up a university for rural development and panchayat raj and suggested that the bill should be debated in the next session of the state legislature, than taking the ordinance route.

On a query from the media about allegations against Excise Minister Manohar Tahsildar’s son taking bribe for transferring forest officers, Siddaramaiah said that if there was any evidence to prove the charges, strict action would be taken.
