Bengaluru: A woman techie was allegedly raped by a 29-year-old person, to take a revenge against her brother at Tejaswini Nagar in Bengaluru recently.

The accused has been identified as Balaji, a resident of Tejaswini Nagar. According to police sources the accused was an employee at a share marketing firm and there was a rift between Balaji and the victim’s brother. In order to take revenge against the victim’s brother, Balaji allegedly barged into the house of the victim and raped her, when she alone was at home. He also videographed the rape incident and threatened to upload it onto the social media.

Fearing for her future, the victim had given money and gold ornaments to the accused Balaji in response to his blackmail. But, he demanded more and more. Finally the victim filed the case against Balaji. However Balaji is absconding, sources said

Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating
