Bangalore :A 24 year old woman is battling for life after she was allegedly pushed from the third floor of her boyfriends apartment in R T Nagar limits on Wednesday evening.
The victim, identified as Chandrakala, is reportedly employed as a beautician in the area and is a resident of Matadahalli in R T Nagar. The victim, who is unmarried was allegedly having an affair with Yogesh, a married man who works as a cab driver.
Police said that both families were aware of their relationship and there was tension regarding the issue.
On Wednesday evening, Yogesh reportedly called Chandrakala to his house for dinner. Police say that around 7.45 pm, the couple had an argument following Chandrakala’s repeated queries about their marriage.
In a fit of rage, Yogesh then broke her cellphone, sim card and then pushed her from the third floor of the building. Chandrakala sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in RT Nagar by Yogesh’s relatives and neighbours Subsequently, she was shifted to NIMHANs and then to a private hospital in Koramangala.
Police said they have been unable to record the victims statements as she is not in a condition to talk. Police further said that Yogesh is now absconding. A case has been registered by the RT Nagar police.
