Bengaluru: A woman committed suicide after a brief spat with her boyfriend on Sunday, July 3.

The deceased is identified as Sunanda (22).

According to police, Sunanda and Saidrat, who engaged each other recently, picked up a fight over a trivial issue at a birthday party hosted by Saidrat in his house. The personal fight turned ugly and an irked Sunanda hung herself at Saidrat’s house where the party was going on.

Meanwhile, Sunanda called her parents and complained against Saidrat before taking the extreme step, police sources said.

Shocked by the incident, Saidrat too followed her footsteps by consuming poison. Fortunately, he was rushed to hospital and is said to be out of danger.

According to sources, the couple got engaged recently and the wedding was supposed to be held in two months.
