Bengaluru: A 30-year-old woman from West Bengal, who came to Bengaluru in search of a job recently, alleged that she had been raped by a gang of four men, including a cab driver, while she was returning to her house in Koramangala on March 30 night.
The victim, who filed a complaint with the police on Tuesday through her friend, alleged that the men offered to drop her home from a pub located in the Bengaluru central. She alleged that the men raped her in the car while it was on the move. Her friend filed the complaint on her behalf, but did not inform the police whether the victim knew the men prior to meeting them in the pub.
The Koramangala police, who have taken up a case, are now trying to convince the victim to undergo medical examination and also to record her statement, but in vain. Based on the complaint, the Koramangala police have taken up a case against the cab driver along with three others who are on the run. The police are also questioning her friends.
