Will not allow terrorists to use Karnataka for their nefarious activities: HM

Bengaluru: The police will maintain extra vigil on terror outfits and state government will not allow any outfits to operate in the state, said Home Minister Dr G. Parameshwar on Thursday.

Speaking to the media persons, “We will take action against suspected terrorist group after seeking assistance from NIA. After the arrest of suspected terrorists, NIA will not share any information with us, but they will ask for information from our police and we are ready to share any information with NIA,” Parameshwar said.

“We will not allow terrorists to use Karnataka for their nefarious activities. Necessary directions had been issued to the top police officials to curb terrorist activities in the state. Our police department is capable to handle the situation,” he said.

Further he clarified that the state police was informed by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) before taking into custody six suspected terrorists in the state last week. According to NIA, all the six were involved in terrorist activities in the state, he added.
