Bengaluru: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has reacted to reports that former JD(S) legislators Madhu Bangarappa and Ramesh Babu have decided to join the Congress party.

Addressing the media on Saturday, January 25, HDK said, “I can’t do anything more for them (Bangarappa, Ramesh), as I have already called and spoken to them personally to ask what is troubling them. The party has never ill-treated them. If they want to leave the party, let them do so, as many come and go in the JD(S). I want to see what they are going to achieve by joining the Congress.”

It can be recalled that reports recently surfaced that veteran Congress leader Kagodu Thimmappa met Madhu Bangarappa and asked him to join Congress. According to sources, Ramesh, in a recent party meeting, openly warned the party leaders that he would quit the JD(S) if his demands are not fulfilled.
