Bengaluru: The ongoing investigation into the alleged deal inside the Vidhana Soudha in which accused P Karthikeyan (60), a resident of Sheshadripura allegedly misused the Vidhana Soudha chambers in the first floor to dupe the industrialists has revealed that he cheated an industrialist from Tamil Nadu for Rs.1.12 crores by using the chamber of Kota Shrinivasa Pujari, opposition leader in the council.

Following the news, Poojari has written letters to the senior police officers directing them to hold an investigation.

A former dalayat by name Mahadeva Swamy secured Poojari’s chamber lounge to Karthikeyan to execute the deal. Mahadeva Swamy has been arrested by the police now. “Swamy was appointed as a dalayat for two years on the contract basis. He is not employed in the Vidhana Soudha any more. But he is using his connection to enter the Vidhana Soudha easily and struck these kinds of deals,” informed the police.

Police launched a comprehensive investigation to find out who are all behind such a racket. “The state government has given a free hand to the police as the incident has caused embarrassment to the state government. All those who are involved in this kind of activities will be traced,” informed the police.
