Bengaluru: The ban on the movement of vehicles along the Agumbe ghat road in the Shivamogga-Udupi districts, will continue till May 15.

Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner K A Dayananda has issued an order in this regard.

As per the original decision, the movement of vehicles on this road was banned between April 1 and 30 but as the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was not able to complete the repair work on time, it has been decided to continue the ban order till May 15.

It can be recalled that the NHAI is concretising the road which caved in August 2018, following the heavy rainfall.
