Bangalore: Kannada Chalavali party leader Vatal Nagaraj congratulated CM Siddaramaiah at the latter’s residence ‘Krishna’ because CM Siddaramaiah scheduled his visit to Chamarajanagar, on October 7, as the superstitious belief lies that those heads of state government will lose the authority after visiting Chamarajanagar.
Addressing the media persons, CM Siddaramaiah said that the power is not forever. Its not his nature to be glued to power. He has no belief that he would lose the authority after visiting Charmarajanagar. I will continue to be CM as long as people allow me to do so. ‘I have the objective of doing good as long as I am reigning as CM. Therefore, I have taken a decision to visit backward district of Chamarajanagar on October 7 in order to herald its way for progress,’ said CM Siddaramaiah.
I have visited Chamarajanagar district, when I was minister and DyCM. Its not new to me. I have received several requests from people in that district that forms a part of Mysore. Therefore, I have no fear to visit,’ said CM Siddaramaiah.
Speaking on the occasion, Vatal Nagaraj said that it’s a healthy sign that CM Siddaramaiah is determined to visit Chamarajanagar. The visit will clear the ill notion that people perceive, said Nagaraj.
The former CM J H Patel with social background did not visit Chamarajanagar during his reign. Patel had officially announced the status of Chamarajanagar district from atop of Maleimahadeshwar hill, while the courage of CM Siddaramaiah is commendable, said Nagaraj.
