Bengaluru: Karnataka Health Minister U T Khader has always been the people’s politician. But, now it so seems that people are taking advantage of his approachable and friendly demeanour by misusing his name.
On Wednesday evening, the traffic police had tough time handling a 24-year-old drunk man who refused to co-operate with the cops as he claimed to be UTK’s nephew.
Anees, employed in a hotel near Railway station was caught by the traffic cops near Majestic area.
However, the inebriated youth misbehaved with the cops flaunting his political clout, especially the connection with the health Minister.
Even as the police confirmed that UTK has no nephew named as Anees, the damaged was already done. Some news channel aired the news stating how UTK’s nephew was booked in a drunken driving case, despite UTK himself clarifying with the jurisdictional police that he has no nephew named Anees, and his only nephew is studying in Mangaluru.
Since some time now, UTK has been a victim of such false propaganda. Recently a picture of a young bride decked up in heavy gold ornaments went viral, stating that it was UTK’s daughter who was getting married, even as the truth is that Khader’s daughter, a teenager is still doing her school in a hostel outside the state.
