Two women injured in elephant attack at Bannerghata

Bengaluru: A wild elephant attacked two women at the Bannerghatta Biological Park here. They were carrying out the work of asphalting the road in the safari area when the pachyderm attacked them, park officials said.

They were injured and they were immediately shifted to Sanjay Gandhi hospital here for further treatment, Executive Director of the Park Range Gowda said.

The contractor had deployed workers in the forest area of Bannerghatta Biological Park adjacent to Bannerghatta National Park, they said.
