Tumakuru: One auto-rickshaw per ward in city limits and one auto-vehicle in gram panchayat limits will be provided free of cost to enable the differently-abled and disabled citizens to participate smoothly in the assembly elections to be held on May 10, 2023.

A total of 546 auto-rickshaws have been arranged in 330 gram panchayats and 216 wards across the district.

A total of 2,683 booths, one each in each polling station, 2115 wheelchairs one for each polling station and all the 2,683 polling stations have been set up for blind voters to read in Braille script and cast their votes.

Free vehicles can be arranged and voted and they can reach home. To avail this facility, they can contact the urban or rural differently abled rehabilitation workers in their jurisdiction or the election helpline 1950.
