Trouble brews for BJP leader V Somanna as Lokayukta court orders ACB probe

Bengaluru: Fresh trouble is brewing for the former minister and senior BJP leader V Somanna as the Lokayukta court has ordered Anti Corruption Bureau probe for owning huge assets illegally.
Lokayukta court here on September 14 asked Anti Corruption Bureau to submit its probe report by December 17. V Somanna is accused of amassing 205% of assets beyond his known sources of income. A private complaint was filed by Ramakrishna from Moodalapalya at Lokayukta court.

According to reports, the former minister had submitted a false declaration before the Lokayukta and also there were discrepancies in the declaration made before the Election Commission. Somanna has a number of properties in and around Bengaluru and also in Mysore and Mangaluru.
