Bangalore:Its owing to differences among Congress MLAs and CM Siddaramaiah over the transfer of police officers, they had to continue on their existing posts for sometime till the issue gets resolved.
Two state ministers including over 10 MLAs expressed displeasure over transfer of police officers in their respective constituency by CM Siddaramaiah. Meanwhile, the state administration has withheld the transfers as not to cause displeasure among the MLAs and its adverse impact on the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
The state government has issued transfer of 135 DySPs, 498 inspectors, 11 KSRP inspectors altogether 644 police officers. MLAs expressed anguish over the transfer because they were not consulted in preparing the transfer list. These MLAs shared their grievances over the issue with KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar.
At this backdrop, DGP Raghavendra Auradkar issued orders to police officers whose names were listed in the transfer to continue in their respective location till further advice.
