Bengaluru: Following the party’s high command’s observation that the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is not reaching its targets for the Jana Samparka-fundraising initiative and Shakti-membership enrollment drives, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao has convened a three-day long meeting of all the office bearers starting Friday. The meeting will conclude on Sunday evening.
According to Congress sources, recently, the AICC review committee expressed its dissatisfaction with the poor performance of Karnataka in both the drives launched by party president Rahul Gandhi, to strengthen its base. But most of the district units of the state failed to reach the target.
“Following the objections raised by the party leadership, KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao convened the meeting,” added sources.
All party frontal organisation leaders and office bearers will be in attendance at the meeting where strategies to strengthen the party at the constituency level will also be discussed.
