This IT company in Bengaluru says no to ‘food wastage’

Bengaluru: India is a country which has as many as 194 million hungry, malnourished and undernourished people. There are a numerous numbers of individuals who often overload their meal plates and then dump the leftovers. 
Here is an IT company in the Garden city which has come up with a unique initiative against wastage of food.

With an intention of creating awareness among its employees about food wastage, Tata Consulting Services (TCS) has put up a board in its office cafe. The board surely has hit where it should have.

The notice board read: “Take all you can eat, but eat all you take. Yesterday’s wastage was 45 kgs, enough to feed 180 hungry people.”

Sahiba Singh a Bengalurean shared the picture of the notice board on Facebook which has gone viral with more than 40,000 shares.
