Bengaluru: State Congress leaders have criticised Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the alleged nepotism he has shown in his son acquiring a tender relating the diagnostic centre in a government hospital.

While State revenue minister, V Srinivas Prasad has said that the incident has embarrassed the party, former union minister and MP, K H Muniyappa, said that chief minister while in power shouldn’t be partial towards their kin.

It may be recalled that Senior Congress leader Janardhan Poojary too had come in the open and expressed his unhappiness about the issue. He had asked the CM to apologise to the public of Karnataka.

With the Cabinet reshuffle at the end of this month, CM Siddaramaiah is in a spot of bother. It is thought that such comments from the party-insiders might be on an increasing trend.
