Bengaluru: Tejaswini Ananthkumar, wife of former union minister Late Ananth Kumar, is expected to hit the campaign trail in the Bengaluru South Lok Sabha constituency on Monday, April 8. She is expected to start her campaign from the Govindarajanagar constituency.

According to sources in the BJP, Tejaswini, who was summoned by the party national leadership to the national capital on Saturday, was asked to campaign for Tejasvi Surya.

“She was explained about the party’s decision to deny her the ticket, keeping in mind the future of the Bengaluru city politics. She agreed to support Tejasvi Surya,” said sources in the state BJP.

“She has also been asked to visit Haveri, Hubballi-Dharwad and other urban constituencies where she has good influence and is a familiar face,” said a senior party leader.
