Bengaluru: In a remarkable achievement, a 19-year-old student of Christ University secured 760 out of 800 in the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).

Annie Vinod Manjila, who is currently currently pursuing her final year in B.Com, achieved the 99th percentile in her very first attempt. Annie started preparing for the exam in February this year. She attended an 8-week training at coaching centre Top-One Percent, in Koramangala.

“I was also quite apprehensive about my non-engineering background and to top it, there were professionals from different MNCs attending classes there,” she said.

According to GMAT trainer Rashmi P Gowda, director, Csquare Learnings, achieving a score like Annie is not easy. One out of hundred candidates score the 99th percentile in GMAT. “It is a satisfying score, especially for a young girl like Annie coming from an undergraduate degree background,” she says.

Annie who is university emcee, debater, rhythm guitarist and grade-4 vocalist, wants to major in micro-financing and become a social entrepreneur. She has applied to Oxford University, London School of Economics, and London Business School for Masters in Finance and Economics. She aims at helping Self-Help Groups and other economically underprivileged business people.
