Bengaluru: Passengers have grown concerned about the Namma Metro services after two technical failures occurred within a week’s time. Service stopped for about 20 minutes on the Baiyappanahalli- Nayandahalli Purple route on May 12, leaving passengers frustrated.
According to a Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) official, there was a problem in the electricity supply cables at the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Metro Station and the service was stopped to solve the problem on the purple track from 3.14 pm to 3.33 pm.
The repair work also affected the movement of trains on the Green track as they were stopped in Vidhana Soudha, Trinity, and other stations. Earlier, the service was stopped for 40 minutes on May 7 because of technical issues in the Purple track.
