Bengaluru: Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Jagadish Shettar on Friday demanded that the state government immediately table the report of Kempanna Judicial Commission of Inquiry, which looked into allegations of denotification of land acquired by Bangalore Development Authority, in the Assembly.

Participating in a debate in the Assembly on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address, Shettar took exception to the government still not tabling the report though it was mandatory under the inquiry commission norms.

“If you do not table the report in the legislature, we will be forced to conclude that the government and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have been indicted by the commission,” Shettar said.

Similarly, the Leader of Opposition demanded that the government table the caste census report in the legislature. After having spent Rs. 250 crore on the census, it was the duty of the government to make the report public, he said.
