Bengaluru: The State government employees’ state wide protest received overwhelming response on Thursday, June 2.

The stir reportedly paralyzed the working of government machinery in the Garden City.

Most of the government offices registered meagre attendance with mostly grade 4 workers reporting to duty.

Senior officials too abstained from the working causing much inconvenience to the general public.

The State government’s repeated warning against the agitators failed to have any impact on workers from refraining from the strike.

The density of traffic had reduced to many folds due to the strike. Even the trains and cabs found scanty passengers.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is expected to convene a high profile meeting later in the day.
