Bengaluru: The state government is likely to take a decision on launching online education for the primary and secondary class students today based on a report prepared by the experts led by NIMHANS director BN Gangadhar.

According to the sources, the experts opposed online classes for the children below six years of age citing physical and mental issues as a major cause of concern.

According to the sources in the education department, officials from the education department will attend the meeting in which report will be discussed atlength. Later, a set of recommendations will be made to the state government for implementation.

This committee was formed after allegations that private schools are collecting fees even from the LKG and UKG students in the name of online education.
