Bengaluru: Due to the increased demand, the BMTC will operate as many as 4,000 buses from today.

The corporation has also decided to issue tickets for the passengers. Till now only pass holders-either monthly or daily pass were allowed to travel in the buses.

According to the BMTC sources in 1,000 buses, arrangements are made to collect ticket money using thee digital wallets like googlepay, paytm etc.

“Due to the fear of Covid 19 spread, only those with monthly pass or daily pass were allowed to travel till now. But from Monday onwards, it has been decided to issue ticket on board,” informed BMTC authorities.

According to the authorities, the BMTC will collect flat fare. The minium fare will be Rs.5 while maximum fare will be Rs.30.
