Bengaluru: All these days the NOTA (None Of The Above) option was made available only in the Lok Sabha and Vidhana Sabha elections. Henceforth, however, this option will be available even for the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) election.

According to a decision taken during the state Cabinet meeting on Friday, the state government has decided to introduce the NOTA option for the ULB elections. “We will soon bring amendments to the KMC act. Once these amendments are approved, the NOTA option will be provided in the ULB elections too,” informed Krishna Byre Gowda, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.

It can be noted that EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) are already being used in the ULB elections across the state.
