Bengaluru: A mentally disturbed person attacked passengers inside a BMTC bus in the city on Monday evening. The miscreant attacked the passengers with a knife and an iron rod. He was rushed to the Victoria hospital for observation.

According to the police, the bus was travelling from Srinagar to Yeswanthpur.

The miscreant, who is in his early 30’s, got into the bus at Cottonpet after which he opened his bag and took a knife and an iron rod and started assaulting the other passengers.

One of the passengers by name Babu, who was stabbed multiple times, fell unconscious inside the bus. Other passengers held the injured man tightly and handed him over to the police.

Police rushed both Babu and the miscreant to the Victoria hospital for treatment. They informed that an FIR will be filed against the miscreant after he recovers from his affliction.
