Bengaluru: As many as 20 teachers from primary section and ten from high school section will receive State teachers’ award this year. The awardees will be honored at a special function on Teachers Day at Ravindra Kalashetra in Bengaluru on September 5 according to Director of Public instruction.

                                                   Krishna Moily, Head Master from Koodabettu, Karkala 

Primary teachers were chosen from four different zones which include Bengaluru, Mysuru, Belagavi and Kalburgi.

Notable among the winners from Mysuru zone are Krishna Moily, Head Master from Koodabettu in Karkala and Sanjeeva H, Head master from Bolanthimogaru in Bantwal in the primary section.

Vasnathi K, assistant science teacher from Puttur and Sampath Kumar Pangala, assistant teacher from Yeramal Bada in Udupi district make to the list in the High school category.

Jaji BB, assisistant teacher from Channayana Kote in Virajpet and Thomas Thomme Hotra, Head Master from Mankimandi in Honnavar taluk also figure in the list of primary teachers from Mysuru and Belagavi zones respectively.
