Bengaluru: The hearing over the appointment of Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) for Vidwath, who is fighting for life in a private hospital after a deadly attack by Mohammed Nalapad gang will be held today. Social activist Alam Pasha has objected that the government should serve a notification before the nomination of SPP and it is not being followed in the case.

Earlier, Vidwath’s father Lokanathan had requested the Home Ministry to appoint Shyamsundar as Special Public Prosecutor (SPP). Even, under CRPC section 301, Shyamsundar had requested the court and submitted an application to appoint a prosecutor for Vidwath and he also submitted the supportive argument.

“If Nalapad and his gang gets bail, they may attack Vidwath again. So, Vidwath’s family’s opinion should be considered before sanctioning the bail. I am ready to prosecute for the punishment of the accused,” Shyamsundar said in the sessions court.

Meanwhile, it is said that Vidwath may be flown to Singapore for advanced treatment.
