Bengaluru: The SSLC and II PUC results would be announced before May 25, said Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education, Kimmane Ratnakar here on Tuesday.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said that since there was a loss of 28 days due to all the issues including re-exams and boycott of evaluations by teachers and lecturers, around 7,000 additional personnel were deployed for evaluation-related work.
He further said that SSLC results would be announced first, closely followed by the II PUC results. He didn’t specify the exact date.
On the paper leak investigation, Ratnakar said that Shivakumaraiah, the kingpin behind the racket, had not revealed much during the CID interrogation.
He informed that along with making examination malpractice a non-bailable offence, the Karnataka Education Act 1983 would be amended to ensure seven years’ rigorous imprisonment to those who involve themselves in question paper leak.
