Bangalore : Former union minister and senior Congress leader SM Krishna launched a scathing attack on rebel star and Mandya Congress candidate Ambarish by stating that there was a leader who can ensure victory of as many as ten candidates in Mandya.
Continuing, Krishna said “there are leaders who can help candidates win in Mandya. I am only campaigning in places which are weak. I have shunned my responsibility in Mandya. My area of operation is now only Bangalore.”
He said though he was ready to share his experiences with the Congress after he quit his union ministership, no one asked him to do so. The Congress too has failed to take advantage of my experience, he said and added he however had no regrets. Krishna further justified his decision to quit the Union Cabinet and added that no one who crossed 80 had remained in the cabinet. I will spend the rest of my life playing Tennis and practicing Yoga.
Earlier, there were speculations that SM Krishna who was disappointed after the Congress neglected his candidate, would remain away from campaigning. However, Krishna has drawn curtains to the confusion by campaigning in Mandya for two days. However, his words reveal that all is still not well.
