Bengaluru: Fight with wife six-months ago for not having children even after six years of marriage, reportedly drove a 33-year-old man employed in the Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) to end life on Valentine’s Day.

As if Nellipudi Srihari had meticulously planned his death, he hanged himself before updating his Whatsapp Display Picture with birth and death dates written around his face and also booked flight tickets for his paternal uncle and brother from Tirupathi to Hyderabad so that they can attend his funeral. He had also sent whatsapp messages to his close friends minutes before killing himself, requesting them to rush to his house urgently.

“Please come to my house urgently. This is my last request,” the message read. On receiving the message, some of his friends rushed to his quarters at 5.30 am only to find him dead.

In fact Srihari’s mother who was sleeping in the same house was woken up by his friends.

It is said that Srihari’s wife Vidyalatha had left him and started living with her parents after a fight broke out between the two over conceiving children. As per close friends of Srihari, his marital dispute is said to be the reason behind his death.
